Little about me

My name is Catherine Alice Fontenot, and I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in the school of communication arts. My major was illustration so I market myself as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, and overall as a visual artist.

I was born in Texas, and like all Texans, proud of it. I lived in Saudi Arabia for about 4 and a half years (from the age of 4 to 8-years-old), and I really believe my early childhood being spent overseas has made a huge influence on my perceptions and beliefs, my aesthetics, and my creativity. Travel, I feel, is essential to anyone’s personal growth.

I love nature, animals, and travel, and I would like to think my admiration for these things is reflected in my work. I believe is it's crucial to humanity to observe and appreciate the things the world has to offer, especially in our surroundings. My ambition, whatever the subject, is to communicate an intended message, and illuminate the cerebral commonalities between the image and the viewer.

Like I said before, I love animals. I have 3 indoor cats, 2 outdoor cats, a dog, and 2 horses at home in Texas. I'll just say I'm definitely an animal person.
